Most platforms are built for broadcasting. Gethra is built for gathering. Members come together for a video call on a topic they care about. That call splits into smaller groups of a few people where everyone gets to see and be seen, hear and be heard.

The video call is built in, so there's no link juggling or switching between apps. And when a gathering ends, it doesn't vanish. Each one leaves a summary behind, in a space where the conversation can keep going.

Staying in touch takes no effort at all. After a gathering, small groups automatically get a group message in the app. Everyone in it accepts or declines, and whoever accepts has a thread to keep talking in, about the gathering or anything else. You can also message any member directly, or start a group thread with a few of them. No direct messaging opens until consent is given, so no one ends up in a conversation they didn't want.

Communities can add more spaces as they grow, for topics, resources, or whatever the group needs.
